The hill was quite “smoky” on this cool morning. Like it is the case for most ski centers, the recent drop of the temperatures gives them a chance to take out the snow making gear out, and increase the number of accessible trails. Living up to its reputation and the addition of extra equipment in the last years, Bromont took advantage of the colder air to go heavy on the snow making. You can expect additional trails available in the upcoming days.

You could see the “smoke” from far, on the highway.  Of course, this intensive snow making affected the visibility on the slopes. From the summit down to about 1/3 of the way, we had to be extra cautious. Same action on the Lakeside.

Once past the the “cloudy” section, runs were enjoyable, with well groomed man made snow surfaces, mixed with the few centimeters of the past days. Bases have hardened here as well with the colder weather. However, icy patches are scarce. Little waiting time at the lifts today, regardless of the side visited. Here the Bedford. Fun run well groomed and less crowded than the popular Knowlton trail.

A quick trip on the Mont Soleil side, the perfect place for beginners and those who prefer smooth “green” caliber trails. Conditions there were quite nice too. It also provides a nice view to the Village side, with minimized snow making activity in the afternoon.

Bromont offers nice modules for snow park lovers. At this time large part of them are opened, including a section of the Max Parrot park, named after the international champion that started here.

There are various activities for the Holiday Season here too, until January 7th. The younger ones are certainly not left out, with games at the bottom of the lifts on the Village side, and… of course… treats for the sweet tooth !

Take notice : The next “Nuit Blanche” is scheduled for Saturday January 13th 2024. Come ski all night and past midnight. Also taking place on January 13th is a competition for “tricksters” in the snow park, called Prk Rats (Park Rats). Up to 1 000 $ in prizes to win.

Tomorrow should be a good day out, as temperature will reach a maximum of minus -5 degrees under cloudy skies. Sunday should also be pleasant as well, and  2 – 4 cm of new snow are expected. So, a fun week-end in store to finish this Holiday Season.
