More snow this morning, and continous snow fall throughout the day today at Mont Blanc. It was well worth the difficult road conditions to get here. Clearly, lots were discouraged by the weather and the state of the roads, unless thecy chose to head back home on this last day of the Holidays for many ? Litterally no waiting at the lifts. On the Blanc side, just 1 of the 2 chairs were operational, probably given the low traffic…
Wonderful conditions pretty much all day, no “traffic jams” on the slopes neither. Over 10 cm of fresh powdery snow fell overnight. Add to that a few more during the day, nice… Bases are firm, but the turns are so easy in that fluffy light powder, great fun on the hill !
Below the “Mambo” trail, in great shape too.
Cold temperature allows intensive snow making here too, both on the North side, and on the Faustin side. You can expect additional trails available very soon.
Never to young to start.
A beautiful day to end the week-end, even more enjoyable when you have litterally the trails to yourself… well, almost.
For those who can enjoy it, tomorrow should be a great sunny day here, with minus – 4 degrees maximum.
As for the next few days, well, still early, but a system is expected Wednesday, that should leave a mix of snow, sleet, turning to rain, and back to snow, with 12 cm + accumulation and + 3 degrees forecasted, depending on the weather models. Then back to cooler temperatures and a bit more snow next week-end, that’s what’s in store, at least for the time being…
Next week-end marks the start of week-end ski classes. Come enjoy après-ski with live music on Saturday.
