The weather was just perfect for our first day of skiing this season. We were supposed to hit the slopes yesterday, but with all the icy rain we received, we decided to wait another 24h which was a really good choice! Mont Blanc did a nice job of getting the mountain ready for skiers today.

It was the first time ever at Mont Blanc for my husband and we had a great day. We started with the Forêt Magique which was pretty icy, so we took the decision to head the Versant Nord, were the sun was shining a lot!

On Versant Nord, we went right away to the Panoramique, and there was no ice which was awesome! We skied it a second time because it was so nice, and then we went into la Chute and the first part was unbelievable. It was soft like real spring snow and we were actually able to ski hard as if there was no icy rain at all yesterday.

The real ski feeling in my legs finally! We were waiting for that since our last ski day last season! Going down this trail I was feeling soooo good!  The Mont Blanc racing team was training on the Versant Nord and I was just so impressed with these young kids going down that fast.

I skied here quite a few times, but I never realized how nice this mountain is for families. There is a day care, a Magic Jungle, a hotel and a big pool right at the base of the hill. Plus, they have really affordable packages for families including the accommodation, the lift tickets, the ski lesson and even the rental equipment.

A ski day is not a real one if it doesn’t end with a ski beer. We stoped at the Igloo après ski bar and we had a nice Archibald microbrewery beer from Quebec. It was definitely a really nice day even if Mother Nature is hard on us since the beginning of the season.

Come to Mont Blanc and have some fun with the family!
