Feeling a little bit more like winter today, as temperatures dropped overnight. Good time to take a pause by the fire.

Dust of snow fell overnight, about 2 cm.  Very little waiting at the lifts today, nice surprise for a Holiday Saturday, but whose to complain, barely a couple of minutes before you can go back up the mountain.

As you can see, the crew has worked hard, and 2 trails were available on the “Orford” face, the “Trois-Ruisseaux” and the challenging “Maxi” trails, in addition to the trails open on the “Giroux” face.

With cooling temperatures, around minus -4 degrees celsius today, snow making has resumed, on both the “Giroux” and “Orford” faces.

The bases have become harder, surfaces are quick, so it is the right time to tune-up the skis or boards to enjoy the ride.

Over 30 % of the terrain is now open on the 2 accessible faces. Faster skiing than what we have been used to for the past days, but, nevertheless, pleasant conditions.  The “Trois-Ruisseaux” trail was quite popular.

Fans of  “skins climbing”, can still practice their sport. However, an alternate route must be used to go up, for the time being.

The manufacturer K2 offered a Demo, to try their new equipment today. See the station’s web page for more Demos to come from other manufacturers during the season.

Additional snow flakes might fall tonight and we can finally expect a few sun rays for tomorrow, with minus -5 celsius to end the Holiday Season.
