Good to feel the difference of skiing/riding on some natural snow, 18 cm of fresh white gold in the past 2 days. This last snow fall certainly improved the conditions. The “Colorado” trail was not groomed for the occasion. Just enough to talk about powder skiing. Great !

The “Kamikaze” trail is expected to open very soon.

Despite the cloudy skies, a near perfect day to play outdoors. Temperature was at a comfortable minus -6 degrees celsius and barely a few minutes waiting at the various lifts in tne morning, and, as the hours passed, right after lunchtime, almost instantly back in the chairs at every run.

The lakeside and “Panorama” trails were a little more busy.

Bases are firm, you can expect a few icy spots. I was glad my skis were newly tuned and edges sharpened, the key for more enjoyable turns with these conditions on the groomed trails.  With this comfortable weather, a little pause by the fire is a good option.

For now, a little over 50 % of the terrain can be enjoyed, but this could change as the snow making guns are out full blast for some more trails near lakeside.

Note that some alpine hiking terrain is accessible. Also, it seems that few are aware, but you can find very nice trails for snowshoes. You can find the entrance just near the parking lot (at your right when you walk towards the summit chairlift.

Make sure you plan a day outside tomorrow, as temperature will rise to 0 degrees celsius, with variable skies. Then, starting tomorrow night, forecast call for more snow.
